TRADITIONAL GAMES

Kelantan also popular with it variety of traditional games. Each game have its own style and can be played on leisure time or during ceremony. All of this game is fun and able close the relationship as people can play in group and need corporation each other. For people who love to try new experience playing games, don’t miss to come and visit Kelantan.  

WAU BULAN

Most people in Kelantan play Wau on leisure time. There are several types of Wau such as ‘wau bulan’, ‘wau kucing’, ‘wau merak’, and etc. For creating this wau, people need to have high patience and expertise.

GASING

‘Gasing’ play an important role in the entertainment traditions of the people of Kelantan. There are two types of ‘gasing’ that usually played which is Gasing Uri and Gasing Pangkah.

KERTOK

This game start be used by farmer for scare away the birds. Kertok usually played at official ceremony. It can be played by 2 player or group
(12-24 player).

REBANA UBI

‘Rebana ubi’ Is one of the Kelantan Malay traditional games that have started to be played about 3 centuries ago. In the past, ‘rebana ubi’ is a leisure game which is played every time at the end of harvest.

WAYANG KULIT

Wayang kulit performances usually held in a barn or a complete stage with bands and wayang kulit ‘s puppet that consist of various characters. The story that be performed in wayang kulit is originally from the Hindu epic, but now has been modified with the local Malay culture.

SEPAK BULU AYAM

This game is played by making a circle and usually players would use the foot, ankle and head to play and distribute the quill to the other players in the circle.

SENI SILAT TARI

It is a martial art of the Malay community in which the most valuable heritage performances which has its own style and uniqueness.

CONGKAK

Congkak is the tradional game that have 14 hole and divided into 2 section and become 7 part and add with one big hole which known as house or ‘kampung’ for each player.

1.    Beaches

a.Cahaya Bulan Beach

Pantai Cahaya Bulan is one of the famous beaches in Kelantan, Malaysia. It is located about 10 km from Kota Bharu. At one point, the beach is named Coast Love Erotica, a name allegedly given by a British soldier while he was on shore at the time of World War II. At that time, the soldiers are suffering from unrequited love. Some local people still use the old name today, though they prefer to refer to this beach as PCBs.

b.Sri Tujuh Beach

Sri Seven Coast located in Tumpat,Kelantan. It was named Sri Seven Coast because there are 7 or more bays here. It is an attractive recreational area for visitors, especially from Kelantan. Sri Seven close to shore and grave Base Station which is. Visitors from Kuala Lumpur here by train with a RM32 fee. Many taxi and rental car at the train station to go to the beach.

c.Tok Bali Beach

Tok Bali is also a destination sales results capture by fishermen. We can obtained a result - the result is a reasonable price as well as to enjoy the freshness of the results - the catch

d.Irama Beach

Pantai Irama is located in Bachok, Kelantan facing the South China Sea. Reclaimed beaches because of erosion due to strong waves, especially during the monsoon season when the northeast monsoon winds blow (November to March).

e.Bisikan Bayu Beach

Bisikan Bayu beach or 'In Rhu Beach' is located in Pasir Puteh, next Semerak, 50 km from Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

d.Sabak Beach

Pantai Sabak has its own history in the colonial era in Malaya. This is because at this beach for the first time the Japanese landed in Malaya during World War II on December 8, 1941.

2.    Waterfalls

a.Gunong Stong waterfall

This waterfall is located at Dabong, Jeli. Gunong stong have one of the most highest waterfall in Malaysia.Gunong Stong Jelawang waterfall are famous with a height of 305 m and became the highest waterfall in Asia.It quite famous among visitors because of the hiking and climbing.

b.Jeram Lenang

Jeram Lenang is one of the forest recreation area and the famous waterfall in Kelantan. Jeram Lenangis located in Ulu Sat, in Colonial Machang, Kelantan and reached the tarred road. Visitors can get there by taking private cars and taxis.

c.Jeram Pasu

Jeram Pasu is one of the forest recreation area and the famous waterfall in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. Jeram Pasu contacted by a paved road and visitors can go there to ride public buses, private cars and taxis. Jeram Pasu is located about 8 kilometers from the junction of Kampung Padang Pak Amat, Pasir Puteh Road - Kota Bharu.

d.Lata Rek

Lata Rek is the waterfall which is quite famous in Kelantan. This waterfall is gazetted as a picnic spot is suitable for the whole family have fun and find solace. Area is located at. Laloh, which is about 30 km from the town of Kuala Krai, Kelantan. People can go there via Highway Kuala Krai-Gua Musang.
